Growing up Google: Application launch timeline

Since its founding in September 1998, Google has ballooned into a huge corporation, partly by acquiring companies and developing applications. Today there are numerous applications, all free, in Google’s command. Here’s a list of the company’s best-known applications during the past nine years:
